Hi everyone, my happy memories of the Bach in Brixton Rd, sixties and seventies. Huge pine trees, open fields and big ditches that swallowed you up. The road was sealed in RED concrete. Apparantantly it was a trial, but didn’t go any further. We played on the road, no cars whooshing thru every minute. Moreporks in the trees at night, so peaceful. Such a wonderful time. I wonder what at what we call progress.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
