Maths Tuition

Lily from Matakatia - Tindalls Beach

Hello there, is anyone after any maths help for their kids? I have just finished a degree in pure mathematics at Auckland university and am hoping to take on more students now that I have the time. I have been tutoring both primary and secondary levels for just over three years now and find it a very rewarding job so hope to continue. I have always loved maths and enjoy supporting young students, shedding light on the topic and helping them through their studies. I’m based in Whangaparaoa and my rates are (as a rough guide) $25 per hour for primary and $30 per hour for intermediate and secondary although lessons don’t necessarily need to be an hour. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or would like to come for a (free) introductory meetup/chat for you to see if what I have to offer will meet your needs.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
