House sitting or accommodation needed
Hi Everyone,
We are a family of 3 who moved down to the Hibiscus Coast/North Shore from Northland about 9 months ago. We moved here to access therapy for our now 2yr old daughter who has Cerebral Palsy. We have been unable to afford rent as well as our daughter’s therapies, so we have been doing a combination of house sitting and living in our caravan.
We are looking to live down here for at least another year or longer depending on our daughters needs. We are looking for long term house sits of 2 months or longer if possible, we are also interested in any other affordable living arrangements that might be available. Our daughter is still unable to crawl so the home does not need to be “baby proofed”.
We have great references from our previous house sitting and are happy to care for all sorts of animals as well as do house and property care and maintenance.
We are currently looking for a place to stay from the 17th of November and onwards, please PM me to get in contact.
Thank you for your time.
Poll: 🤖 What skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?
The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑
Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.
We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

Poll: Should complete designs be shared with the public, or should the community help shape the designs from the start?
The Post recently shared an opinion piece on the Harbour Crossing and why a more democratic approach might be needed 🚗🚲👟
While most decisions sit within the political arena, many organisations—like NZTA—manage long-term projects that go beyond party lines. Politics can sometimes disrupt progress, and the next Harbour Crossing is a big decision that will affect all Aucklanders.
We’d love your thoughts: Should near-complete, shovel-ready designs be shared with the public, or should the community have a hand in shaping the designs from the start?

77.9% Community feedback and transparency is needed.

22.1% No. This would be impossible in practice.
