Loving home needed for sweet Possum....

Sharon from Gulf Harbour

Hello neighbours,

I am still looking for the perfect home for Possum..... Do you know a kind, gentle cat person who would be keen to adopt my beautiful big boy Possum? I am moving to Perth and he would find the move so stressful being a gentle soul.

Possum (approx. 9yrs) is one of the most wonderful cats I have ever met (I have worked in cat rescues so have met quite a few…)

Possum is so gentle and loving and is always keen to rest alongside me on the sofa as he is too large for my lap. He is a big cat. He was abandoned in Matakatia 7yrs ago and I was unable to find where he came from. If I could find somewhere local for him that would be amazing.

Possum loves company and is a wonderful companion so would do well with someone who is home often. He would appreciate a quieter household and may not take well to dogs or young children. He would be fine with other easy-going cats or animals and birds as he is not a fighter/hunter. I have rescued and rehomed a number of cats over the time he has been with me, so he is good at adapting. He is well housetrained and loves the outdoors so needs his freedom and a good sized garden. He can be kept in at night with a litter tray.

We have always lived on larger properties and next to bush, so I would love to find a similar peaceful environment for him. He would not do well in high density housing or being too close to busy/noisy roads/areas.

This is an incredibly hard decision for me and I need to make sure his new home is perfect as he is such a special boy.

If you can help or know anyone that may be interested, please contact me.
Thank you for reading.
Sharon

Poll: 🤖 What skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑

Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.

We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

Poll: Should complete designs be shared with the public, or should the community help shape the designs from the start?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Post recently shared an opinion piece on the Harbour Crossing and why a more democratic approach might be needed 🚗🚲👟

While most decisions sit within the political arena, many organisations—like NZTA—manage long-term projects that go beyond party lines. Politics can sometimes disrupt progress, and the next Harbour Crossing is a big decision that will affect all Aucklanders.

We’d love your thoughts: Should near-complete, shovel-ready designs be shared with the public, or should the community have a hand in shaping the designs from the start?

The Riddler from The Neighbourly Riddler

Make a hearty dish. Take just half a minute. Add four parts of kestrel. Then just add one. What have you made?
