Surge in electric car searches across Waikato ‘all about fuel prices'
As the price of petrol heads for the sky, so too is interest in electric cars, with a massive spike in online searches and one Hamilton dealer selling five times as many as ususal.
Figures from Trade Me show a 400% leap in searches on the online buying platform compared to a year earlier as the latest Middle East conflict spikes prices at the pumps across the globe.
