Presentation on Heart Disease and Heart Health Management in the Community at the Grove Retirement Village, Orewa

Heartbeats convener, Trent Lash, is providing a public presentation on HEART DISEASE AND PRIMARY HEART HEALTHCARE in the community, on the 25th November at new The Grove Retirement Village, Orewa, from 11:00am to 12:00pm

The presentation will cover:
- heart disease and the little known symptoms of a heart attack
- primary and community-based healthcare for heart event survivors

Trent has been an in-demand guest speaker at a number of community and service groups on the Hibiscus Coast .

ALL ARE WELCOME to attend, whether you are heart event survivor, have a family member who has heart disease, or just would like to know more, in layman's terms, about this No.1. disease in New Zealand.

Heartbeats is a community -based, peer-peer heart event survivors support group that was started on the Hibiscus Coast in July 2019 and has grown to over 100 members, with local groups operating across the North Shore and West Auckland. Night-time chipsealing works on SH2

NZ Transport Agency (NZTA)

From 9 to 17 February, stop/go traffic management will be in place on SH2 between McPherson Road and Dimmock Road on multiple nights between 9pm and 5am (Sundays to Thursdays).

During the day, all lanes will be open, but speed restrictions will apply to allow the chipseal to set and to protect vehicles travelling over the newly laid surface.

There may be delays to your journey when travelling through the area. This is weather dependent so check NZTA Journey Planner before you travel.
