On the Thursday prior to Christmas we had three men at the door to connect FIBER. Their common qualification was their inability to speak English we helped as much as we could. The inspected what needed doing and said sorry other contractors had failed to do the essential preparatory work ... we would lose our number ... it needs to be 'ported' ... We called VODAFONE and were connected to a poor speaking Filipino - WE MUST A PHONE LINE: an older 94 year a 80 year old end of life cancer patient a 71 year old breast cancer client and a son on vacation in India till January 16 ... today 16.01.2019 NOTHING has occurred other then many angry calls to no effect. We started digging it would seem that the CEO of CHORUS is BA and Law graduate from SYDNEY on a million plus yearly salary Ms McKenzie ... the CEO of VODAFONE ex SPARKS also a million and also devoid of technical skills ... All these outfits were once TELECOM NZ a sickening TRUTH.

DOC is rolling out a new tool to help figure out what to tackle first when it comes to protecting our threatened species and the things putting them at risk.
Why does this matter? As Nikki Macdonald from The Post points out, we’re a country with around 4,400 threatened species. With limited time and funding, conservation has always meant making tough calls about what gets attention first.
For the first time, DOC has put real numbers around what it would take to do everything needed to properly safeguard our unique natural environment. The new BioInvest tool shows the scale of the challenge: 310,177 actions across 28,007 sites.
Now that we can see the full picture, it brings the big question into focus: how much do we, as Kiwis, truly value protecting nature — and what are we prepared to invest to make it happen?
