Grapefruit
Is there any neighbour out there who has a grapefruit tree that I can come and collect fruit from please? I know it is a tad early yet but it would be nice to line up a tree or two that I can pick from. I am 82 now but still quite agile enough to come by, tip my hat and get on with the task of collecting grapefruit. I use a long picker tin to get the upper ones that often break open on hitting the ground. My regular grapefruit tree in a neighbour’s place is doing its bi annual sickie and only has only one piece of fruit this year. Text to 021 126 7576 would be helpful.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
