Recycling Paint Cans
Just got a huge shock when I brought in four mostly empty cans (total of 22 liters) of old paint to Resenes. Last year they charged 25 cents a liter to take the paint. This morning the charge went up to $30 ($10 for a large can/bucket). I declined and took the cans back home. While I always appreciated Resene’s offering this service (don’t think Bunnings does) there is no way I can afford to pay these kinds of fees to recycle all the old paint cans I have collected over the years. What was once a service with a charge to cover costs now seems to be profit driven.
One can only imagine where this stuff will now end up.
