unfriendly dogs bail me up, police think i am the problem HELP PLEASE

Sonia from Whakatane District

i have neighbours with hunting dogs.
i have been trying to get help from council and their real estate as they have been really aggressive towards us to the point of charging our fence.
tonight when i put out the bins the 2 dogs they currently have bailed me up, i screamed for help, their owner abused me, told me i shouldnt have come onto their property ... i was on the footpath in the street ... the woman inside heard me scream this is not on and yelled "bring it on b***h.
called police, they dont believe me, the look i got from one officer completely flawed me, asked me if anyone else saw this and i said to ask the neighbours he said spoke to one lady and she saw nothing and to call dog patrol if it happens again
thanks for nothing Whakatane police
we have been harassed by these people and their dogs for months
unfortuanately we are not as cunning and good liars so we are the bad guys trapped in our home
anyone got any advice, i cant take anymore please, please help if you can
