Covid19 Putaruru

Pat and Raewin from Kawerau

On Wednesday in Putaruru I became involved in an incident in Princess Street in Putaruru where a sole policeman was sent to arrest a person. The young man was very compliant but as he got into the back of the police a black vehicle pull up blocking the police cars access. My first thoughts were his girlfriend had arrived but 2 Maori people were arguing in the front then the man got out of the car and started to walk away. The woman was screaming he’s taken all my money we just took out of the money machine and my phone. She approached the policeman and he said stay away from me you know you are not meant to leave home. As the man came back with the phone the policeman stated the same and told them to go home. The male walked away towards the pub and the woman got into the car and chased him. The police officer then told us they had had contact with a possible Covid 19 case and were meant to be in isolation until the results come back. This shows that some people will not be worried about the rules. These two should have been arrested but how does a police officers protect themselves from close contact and being spat at. If these people are infected what do you do to them wrap their house in deer netting to keep them away from the public. Anyone that know who those two are they should message them and tell them what fool they are and it could be their family that dies because of their silly actions.
