Looking to re-home my 3-year-old lab-cross

Ronna from Whakatane District

I'm looking for a new forever home for my dog, JC, as I will be moving overseas in September 2018. She is a 3-year-old lab-cross, a large dog with a great personality.

- Female and fixed with vaccines are up to date
- Will pay for 2018-2019 registration and a one year renewal of vaccines (due end of year which I can pre-pay with her current vet)
- OK on a lead, but better to run around at the beach
- Makes a great guard dog, needs a fenced section
- Plays well with other dogs
- Unfortunately, not so good with cats
- I don't have kids, but I've never had any issues with aggression in private or public or when she's been around kids

Based in Whakatane.

Changing the conversation around dementia

Bob Owens Retirement Village

Reducing stigma starts with the words we use, and shifting the way we talk about dementia is a powerful step forward. This World Alzheimer’s Month, Ryman is highlighting the importance of reducing the discrimination caused by stigma surrounding people living with dementia.

Caroline Bartle, Ryman’s Dementia Care and Innovations Lead, says that using appropriate language when referring to people with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia can foster a more inclusive society.
