Peer support group expands to help North Canterbury mums
Perinatal Wellbeing Canterbury operations coordinator Erin Manning said the service offered peer support to women from conception onwards.
Most women felt overwhelmed at some stage during pregnancy or with a baby, or screaming toddler to deal with, however Manning said this could lead to anxiety or depression if not dealt with.
The North Canterbury group will be established at the Kaiapoi Coastguard building and volunteers are being sought. To offer your services as a North Canterbury volunteer visit the Perinatal Wellbeing website.
