Newlands Park to get a $3.6 million upgrade
A flash new mutli-use all weather playing surface, a bike pump track and an enhanced ecological corridor are all part of a upgrade planned for Newlands Park.
The overall budget is $3.6 million, with $1.54 million being allocated from the Plimmer Trust.
Other features of the park include.
* Creating a community play space adjacent to the skate park. This will see two play spaces with one for toddlers and the other for general use.
* Space for families to gather including barbecues, sheltered seating landscaping, and area for small outdoor performances.
* A half basketball court, a bike pump track and the redevelopment of the existing skate area.
* Enhanced ecological corridor and connectivity of green networks in the Northern Suburbs.
* Improved parking facilities at the upper level sports field.
* Provide public toilet facilities located close to the play space.
Construction is planned for 2020 and will take a phased approach.

Homemade Pasta Lessons
Making pasta is one of life’s great pleasures or piacere soddisfazione – feeling of happiness or enjoyment. It’s like baking bread or making your favourite dish from scratch, but making pasta for the first time can be tricky so I am inviting you to come to my home in Wellington, New Zealand, with up to 3 others to learn my way of making pasta.
We will make Spaghetti Bolognese and Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli and as an option we can also make that irresistible Italian dessert Tiramisu.
Lessons are great for Mother/Daughters/Sons, birthday events or just doing something a bit different with your good friends.
The cost is $40 per person and an extra $5 per person if you would like to make Tiramisu.
All ingredients are provided, you will eat what you make, and you can take home any left overs.
Classes can be held in the evenings or on the weekends. Classes can take around 3-4hrs.
For larger groups I am happy to come to your kitchen for an extra fee.
Please message me for more information and to make a booking. You will love it !!
