Wakely Road track upgrade
Wakely Road track upgrade. The Wakely Road track between Newlands and Ngauranga will be closed for several months from early February while work is done to make things safer and easier for people on foot and on bikes.
The upgrade will include improving drainage, grading the surface, laying new gravel and installing a new fence. We expect construction will be completed during May. It’s part of our long-term plan to develop a connected citywide cycle network.
