Plane Sense from Plane Sense

✈️We’re Plane Sense, a community group raising concerns about aircraft noise and safety in Wellington’s northern suburbs after the 1 Dec 2022 DMAPS flight path change.

⚠️Serious safety issues have emerged, including documents only discovered through the OIA process and not disclosed to the Court by the respondents.

📅We’re taking our case to the High Court, 17–19 Nov 2025, and there may be a class action compensation claim following.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
