Are you fit, strong, and keen to make a difference in your community? One of our members, St Vincent de Paul Society Wellington is refurbishing their Vinnies op shop in Khandallah and are in need a couple of enthusiastic volunteers to lend a hand! Getting into some painting or heavy lifting, so you'll need to be comfortable with a bit of hard mahi. Working alongside our friendly team and maybe even picking up some new skills along the way! Make a real impact in your community and see the transformation of an op shop firsthand!

Hope everyone’s doing okay after the storm.
I’ve got some availability next week if anyone needs help with priority cleanup. I’ve got a pole pruner and chainsaw. Just noting I’m not an arborist.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
