I've just been looking at a recent post from Neighbourly, asking about what people 'collect'. My company, TaskMasters, declutters for people downsizing (mainly into retirement villages), and clears estates. We come across so many interesting things that we either sell, send to charities or, as a last resort if there is nowhere for them to go, take them to the tip (which we hate doing). There are so many interesting things that people collect. If you would like us to keep an eye out for anything in the Wellington region (Wairarapa to Wellington to Kapiti) to purchase, I'm sure many of our clients would be happy to sell them. Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
