Secondary School and Tertiary Tutoring

Bruce from Northland

Mōrena and Good Morning

I'd like to offer my services as a tutor for anyone seeking support for NCEA levels 1, 2 or 3 maths (including calculus), physics, or tertiary level engineering papers.

I'm Wellington born and raised - I attended Wellington College and obtained NCEA levels 1, 2 and 3 with overall excellence endorsement. I was a prefect in my final year at Wellington College. In 2017 I shifted to Christchurch where I obtained a Bachelor of Engineering with First-Class honours in Civil Engineering, from the University of Canterbury (UC), graduating in 2020.

For three of my four years at UC I tutored local high school students in maths and science, through a holiday programme organised by UC's 'Pasifika Organisation.' I also tutored an engineering first year maths paper and a second year civil engineering fluid dynamics and hydraulics paper. I'm currently tutoring a NCEA level 2 student in physics and supporting a university student with their engineering diploma.

I currently live in Northland, Wellington, with my family - my twin brother who is a police constable on the frontline and mother who is a principal advisor for a not-for-profit organisation. I work for 'Aurecon NZ' as a Civil Engineer, we're based in the Spark building on Willis Street.

I relish the opportunity to support others' education because it brings me much happiness and meaning seeing someone grow in both technical skillset and confidence. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you, and/or someone you love needs a bit of extra help with their study.

My contact details are as follows:

Ngā mihi and kind regards

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Poll: 🤖 What skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑

Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.

We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?
