Free help offered for older, or isolated neighhours during COVID19
HI, are you over 70 or otherwise stuck at home during the outbreak?
I'm a mother living in Wadestown and am currently studying remotely from home. I'm around a lot and can help if you are vulnerable and need anything picked up from the supermarket or pharmacy, or if you are scared and need a chat. I've got four kids so am very keen to stay a safe distance and keep safe and well. Please feel free to text or call. Please, don't take any risks. If in doubt, stay home! And wash your hands!
(Ps, i've just seen some posts where people discuss scammers etc. I don't want to come into your house. if you need help, or you're worried about your elderly parents, we can discuss an arrangement that makes you feel safe. I will leave anything you need outside, and you can leave me a note in the letterbox, for example. Feel free to look me up on LinkedIn if you need to verify me)

Scam Alert: Bank cold calls
ASB is warning customers about reports of cold calls from scammers claiming to be from ASB. These scammers are trying to obtain personal information, including usernames, dates of birth, and verification codes sent to your mobile phone.
🛡️ The "Caller Check" Test
If you get a call from someone claiming to be from ASB and you’re unsure, just ask them for a Caller Check. You will then be able to verify the call through the app.
Remember, banks will:
❌ Never ask for your banking passwords, PINs, or verification codes
❌ Never need to know your full credit card number – especially the CVC
❌ Never ask you to download software or remotely access your device
❌ Never ask you to purchase gift cards or transfer funds.
If you have received a phone call and think your account has been compromised, call ASB on 0800 ASB FRAUD (0800 272 372), or visit your local branch.
