Meet the Candidates Meetings

Rhona Carson from Newtown Residents' Association Inc

The Newtown Residents’ Association has three Local Body Candidates meetings coming up, tomorrow and the following 2 Mondays. The venue for all the meetings is the Salvation Army Hall, 4 Normanby St, Newtown. Doors open at 6.30 pm ready to start at 7pm sharp.

Greater Wellington Regional Council – Monday 25th August, 7pm.

Wellington City Council – Monday 1st September, 7pm.
Facilitator Dave Armstrong There are 6 candidates for Paekawakawa/Southern Ward, with 2 seats on Council, and 3 candidates for Te Whanganui-a-Tara Māori Ward, with 1 seat on Council.

Wellington Mayoral Candidates – Monday 8th September. 7pm.
Facilitator Mark Sainsbury There are 12 candidates for one vacancy – come to our meeting, put names to faces, and hear what they have to say.

Step by step for a great cause!

Rita Angus Retirement Village

Our amazing Hillary Hikers from Edmund Hillary Village showed their support for Bowel Cancer New Zealand's Move Your Butt campaign this month!

Sporting the bright purple and orange campaign shirts, these wonderful walkers hit the Auckland waterfront and marched from Mission Bay to Kohimarama, raising awareness for bowel cancer and the importance of early detection along the way.
