Karori Cemetery Tour - Movers & Shakers in Early Wellington - 10:30am Monday 25th January

Celebrate Wellington Anniversary with this tour focused on early Wellington. The tour covers a number of families who were movers and shakers in the city of old. People of note include: the Kirk family of suffragists & scientists; and the Norwood’s who will always be linked to the Rose Garden & Begonia House at the Botanic Garden.
The tour is 1.5 hours duration, easy walking, good dogs on leads welcome. $10 per person (under 12-year olds free).

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
