Please donate surplus clothing to the homeless
Please donate surplus quality clothing to The Street Store so that we can get it to those in need.
WHAT:
A one-day pop-up clothing store providing quality clothing freely to the homeless and others in need.
WHO:
For its 3rd year The Street Store will be hosted again this winter by the team from The Free Store, Wellington, a local non-profit daily redistributing quality surplus food from inner-city eateries to those in need.
WHY:
We are running this event because we know that winter is a difficult time for our friends who are homeless or living in inadequate housing. It can be cold and miserable!
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
In the lead up to the event we will be taking clothing donations from the general public. You are welcome to drop clothing at -
St Peters Church (211 Willis St)
Thurs 24th May-Weds 6th June
9am-6pm
WHAT DO WE NEED?
The majority of people that visit The Street Store are males (70/30 ratio). We would appreciate males step up to the plate to contribute their surplus clothing! Women's clothing is always welcomed though as it will surely go to a good home.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?

What's your favourite tomato recipe?
Kia ora neighbours. We know your tomato plants are still growing, but we're looking ahead to the harvest already! If you've got a family recipe for tomatoes, we'd love to see it and maybe publish it in our magazine to share with our readers. Send your recipe to mailbox@nzgardener.co.nz, and if we use it in the mag, you will receive a free copy of our February 2025 issue.
