Anybody have any contacts for any stamp collectors? I have a whole lot of stamps that I acquired from a relative who's now overseas and we were wondering if any of them were of any value, other than the face value.
Thanks in advance

The WCC must have money to burn. Just now l checked on two people making a video of cars driving in the bus lane. They advised me that the video would be reviewed and offenders would be fined!

I almost never see cars in the bus lane but WCC must think there's an opportunity to make some money.
I bet the camera crew is costing at least $300/hour but it's only your money, so, whatever!
Be warned, bus lanes bring fines!

As examples; we register our cars and complete change of ownership paperwork when we sell them. We register our houses and properties when we complete ownership papers/information etc We register our dogs and if they are rehomed the new caregiver is required to register them at their property and under their own names. It has/is being suggested we register our cats and their are council initiated restraints on how many we can have in some areas.
But now that there is an act passed into law that people are required to register their guns there is a big hoo-hah about freedoms of ownership and some politicians is getting in on the act declaring they will repeal this law if they gain power.
I would ask, what makes gun ownership so special that the guns should not be tracked individually as a means of containing the possibility of abuse of their use?
Much the same as 'dangerous' dogs are restricted, contained and monitored...shouldn't the same be happening with weapons such as guns which are equally able to main and kill?
Just asking :)

My earliest childhood memories are of me eating food in secret. Up until the age of twenty-three, when I came into recovery, I went to great lengths to steal money from my family, friends and neighbours to buy food.
No matter whose kitchen I was in, at any opportunity I had to be alone I would raid the cupboards and fridge. I had huge embarrassment about the way I ate, as I recognised that others didn't eat the same way.

Create your own unique and colourful up-cycled artwork using the technique of Pique Assiette Mosaic
Picque Assiette is a style of mosaic that uses ceramic crockery shards, mirror, old tiles, found objects and other recycled bits and pieces into a design.
The term “Pique Assiette" has its origins in France and means “stolen plate” or “broken plate”.
There is a long tradition of using broken and discarded materials in folk art in Europe and Latin America, and has been around since the turn of last century, notedly embedded in the works of Architect Gaudi in Barcelona’s Parc Guell.
On day 1 of the workshop you will design and construct your mosaic artwork using hand held tile cutting nippers of various strengths. You will discover how to permanently fix your mosaic pieces to the backing board provided and leave to set overnight.
Day 2 will see you finish, grout and polish your artwork ready to take home and proudly hang on the wall.
There will be buckets of colourful ceramic shards to choose from. Feel free to bring along your treasured old chipped china to carefully cut up and reinterpret into your art piece.
Bring a packed lunch or explore the Te Aro cafes during your half hour lunch break.
