It is estimated New Zealanders use around 1.6 billion single-use plastic bags every year. By 2050 there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean! Tommy’s is giving away 35,000 heavy duty reusable shopping bags over the next several weeks in an effort to help free our beautiful Wellington city from plastic shopping bags.
You can collect yours from any Tommy’s open home or Tommy’s office!
For the next 4 weeks we will be stationed at:
- New World Chaffers on Saturday (12pm – 2pm) and Sunday (10am – 12pm)
- Harbourside Sunday Market (10am – 12pm)

It is a pain in the neck for them to add your name to the list and they need to make it easier to do so we can have SPRAY FREE STREETS in Wellington. The goal here is that the council goes back to using steam for weed control which is safe and effective.
