Wellington Water from Wellington Water

Kia ora Wellington,

Our crews have responded to a burst pipe on Waring Taylor St in the CBD.

The affected area is Waring Taylor Street from Lambton Quay to Featherston Street, as shown in the map below.

They're working hard to fix the issue as soon as they can.

From approximately 6:15pm tonight, water will have to be turned off to the affected area. We expect the outage to last until late evening.

Please check Wellington Water on Facebook for updates.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
