Trust House Grant for Distraction Packs for Kapi Mana Police
We recently applied for a Trust House grant for funds to supply Kapi Mana Police with distraction packs to be given to children when they respond to emergency incidents or home visits . Each pack includes an activity book , pencils and a fidget items and are packaged in a sturdy book bag.
This was a fun project for us this year and part of a national Altrusa New Zealand campaign to supply distraction packs to emergency responders across New Zealand

Due to a crash at Tawa interchange, the road is CLOSED in both directions between Tawa on-ramp and off-ramp. Northbound Tawa on-ramp is also CLOSED.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
