From approximately 6:15pm tonight, water will have to be turned off to the affected area. We expect the outage to last until late evening.

Jill Williams, a Fellow of the Irish Genealogial Research Society, originally from Cork and now based in Edinburgh, will be presenting to us instead (live via Zoom). Jill has been researching and teaching family history for many years and we're delighted she's helping us out at such short notice.

Note this PC has been stripped off and is not functioning anymore in spite of the MSI motherboard + i7 processor and the two WiFi cards etc. still intact. The two WiFi cards were working but have never been used for years as I was on cable. Some drive/card bay covers missing and there is a bend on one of the plastic case side as it was dropped by the handler when we moved. Some fans can still be used if you can tolerate the noise when it gets activated sometimes. Casing still useable if you have the patience to rebuild. Also note case is heavy as this is a behemoth.

This year, Pam had a missing cat, which was quite out of character. Driver let the Hursts know, and they joined the search, successfully locating him in the gap between the ceiling and roof of their neighbour’s house.
Pam said “They rescued him and brought him home to me... complete with some scratches! I hate to think what would have happened had he not been found”.
