Hello all, I hope everyone is well. I was hoping to take 2 seconds of your time to get a feel for and idea I am simply contemplating.

I am a licensed realtor with Harcourts however, I am also a qualified adult trainer, I was thinking of starting a free monthly class where we can meet up in a casual setting. During the class I would go over some for example: tips/tricks about how to buy your first house, what on earth does tender mean, what do I do at an auction? With time for a good old yarn about the market if you wish!

Really appreciate any feedback, like I said just an idea to see if the demand is there :)

Thanks so much,
Duncan Traill

This amazing new motorway provides a safer, stronger and more reliable route for people and freight in and out of Wellington. And because it’s engineered to the highest standards, it can cope with the weather, storms and earthquakes we get in this region.

It’s an incredible piece infrastructure, and we can’t wait for you to experience it.

A heads-up, if you’re heading south don’t forget that Paekākāriki is the last exit for 15km – that’s a long detour if you miss your exit!

Mōrena Pōneke.

Just a reminder that glass collections are still paused as several of our waste collection contractors are unwell with COVID-19.

In the meantime, residents can either stockpile their glass or drop it off for free at the Recycling Station at the Southern Landfill.

Rubbish and co-mingled recycling are being collected as usual for now – but some co-mingled items may go to Landfill depending on staff capacity at the sorting plant on the day.

In the meantime, if you want to ensure all your glass collection is processed, you can drop it at our Recycle Centre, or stockpile until we are back to full capacity

We apologise for this disruption. Our thoughts are with our contractors and we wish them a speedy recovery.

Spicer Landfill is an important part of the infrastructure of Porirua City. Around 75,000 tonnes of waste goes into the landfill every year, which means it’s running out of space faster than expected.

Extending the landfill has been planned for since 2009. We’re now starting the resource consent process for approval to extend the landfill to meet our growing city’s needs.

Have your say

Your input and views will help us fine-tune the plans to extend the landfill.

There will be several opportunities to have your say this year with our first lot of information sessions planned for 29, 30 and 31 March.
