Can you help look after Ringo for a couple of days?

Kulbhushan (JJ) from Maungaraki

Hello, meet Ringo, our 20-month-old Cockatoo. We reside in Maungaraki and have an upcoming funeral in Auckland on Friday. We'll be leaving tomorrow, Thursday, and returning on Saturday night.

We're in need of a pet sitter or someone who can look after Ringo at their place. Alternatively, if possible, we'd appreciate it if someone could spend an hour or two with her twice a day. This way, she can have her meals and some interaction while we're away.

Typically, we take Ringo with us wherever we go, even on flights. However, this time, we've decided to drive up due to the high cost of last-minute flights for four people. Unfortunately, such a long drive is not suitable for our little avian companion.

If you can help or know someone who can, please send me a direct message today, Wednesday, 19th July. Thank you!

Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.

This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.

We want to know: Should this be rolled out across all coastal cities in Aotearoa? And more importantly… would you get involved? 💚

Want the details? The Post has you covered.
