Wellington area covid data

Renee from Churton Park

Reported Covid hospitalisations in the Wellington area have surged lately. Case numbers are slowly climbing. The rolling average had dropped down to about 27% of March's peak but is now close to 32%. My guess is that this is due to a combination of less masking, and more time spent in poorly ventilated indoor environments.

It's a good time to get your booster if you haven't already done so, and getting a flu shot too will hopefully help our hospitals cope this winter by reducing transmission, even if you're not personally at risk.

Graphs show combined numbers from Capital & Coast and Hutt Valley DHBs.
