TAWA ROTARY BUSINESS BREAKFAST
Dave Greenberg will be guest speaker at Tawa Rotary’s Business Breakfast at The Borough, Wednesday 22 August, 7:00am to 8:30am.
A few days before his 14th birthday Dave helped save the life of a stranger on a New York street. This event helped shape his life. He became a volunteer firefighter and ambulance officer, but it was his IT work that brought him to New Zealand for a one year contract. He never left and spent the next 25 years as a crew member on the Wellington-based Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
All members of the wider business community are invited to share a cooked buffet breakfast and hear Dave share life and business lessons learned from his time in the emergency services.
Register to attend by emailing tawarotaryclub@gmail.com with the $25 payment made in advance by internet banking to: A/c 02-0552-0037039-00 (Code: BB3; Ref: Your name).

Scam Alert: Bank cold calls
ASB is warning customers about reports of cold calls from scammers claiming to be from ASB. These scammers are trying to obtain personal information, including usernames, dates of birth, and verification codes sent to your mobile phone.
🛡️ The "Caller Check" Test
If you get a call from someone claiming to be from ASB and you’re unsure, just ask them for a Caller Check. You will then be able to verify the call through the app.
Remember, banks will:
❌ Never ask for your banking passwords, PINs, or verification codes
❌ Never need to know your full credit card number – especially the CVC
❌ Never ask you to download software or remotely access your device
❌ Never ask you to purchase gift cards or transfer funds.
If you have received a phone call and think your account has been compromised, call ASB on 0800 ASB FRAUD (0800 272 372), or visit your local branch.
