1888 George and Frances Beetham moved to Wellington and took the Pataka with them. Great visitors site.
1912 George and Frances Beetham moved to England. The Pataka was moved to Beethams homestead Brancepeth Wairarapa.
1982 Hugh Beetham of Brancepeth donated the Pataka back to the People of Lower Hutt.

Better Later Life takes a fresh look at what is required to ensure New Zealand is a great place to age and achieve the vision of making sure older people lead valued, connecting and fulfilling lives.
The strategy's key areas for action will be used to guide the priorities of what needs to happen in our action plan.

The project team replacing the water pipe in Duncan Street needed to temporarily turn the water off to progress construction today.
Water was planned to be off between 10am - 2pm today, however the work is taking longer than planned, so water is expected to be on again at 4pm.
