Looking for a bit of land to keep some bees :)

Rebekah from Strathmore Park

Kia ora neighbours!

I am looking for space to keep 2 x beehives. Ideally, this would be level north / east facing land, plenty of sun, sheltered from wind, and not too close to kids, neighbours, washing lines etc.

Bees are excellent for pollinating vege gardens and fruit trees. Perfect for the home orchard or farmer. Open to options further out of Wellington as well.

Ngā mihi,
Reb

FREE 10-liter emergency water bottles

Michael from Newtown

Merry Christmas -

I have around twenty, empty 10-liter distilled water bottles to serve as emergency water storage. I saved them for my friends, but they already have their own water supplies. Take as many as you like. Please respond to this notice if you are interested.

Best wishes - Michael

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
