Free armchair

Caroline from Berhampore

Free armchair. Lovely classic shape. It could do with being recovered if you are looking for an upholstery activity. Or can be used. It was covered in a light coloured linen fabric which has proven to be a poor choice! The chair was in a sunny spare room and was a huge favourite of the cats. It just shows every spec of dirt. In theory you are t supposed to clean linen with an upholstery steam clean. I patch tested a bit and it actually came up ok.

Collect from 49 Te Wharepōuri St either this weekend or a weeknight next week. Should be picked up either by someone strong, or two people!

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
