Polish Xmas Market
The Polish Xmas Market is on this Saturday 17 November from 11am to 8pm at the Polish House (Dom Polski) on the corner of Riddiford and Rhodes Streets.
The market will be both inside the building and Rhodes St will be closed for the day for more stalls and a sound stage featuring Polish dance performances and live music from around Europe.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

FREE 10-liter emergency water bottles

I have around twenty, empty 10-liter distilled water bottles to serve as emergency water storage. I saved them for my friends, but they already have their own water supplies. Take as many as you like. Please respond to this notice if you are interested.
