We have five scholarships available this year, up to three of which (to Germany, Japan and the USA) could be full scholarships (including airfares and pocket money) if family circumstances warrant it.

The scholarships are worth up to NZ$100K (NZ$50K per year). And at this point we only have a dozen or so applications.

If you know a student going into Year 12 who you think would like to expand their horizons, please share!

They will study the IB with change-making youth from around the world, at an international boarding school in Germany Japan, New Mexico, India or Armenia.

The application deadline for UWC New Zealand 2018 scholarships has been extended. Full and part scholarships are available (needs-assessed).

Applicants must be New Zealand citizens ordinarily resident in New Zealand, who will be aged 16 or 17 on 1 September 2018, and who will have completed NCEA Level 1 (or equivalent) by January 2018 or earlier.

Applicants should be academically strong, physically active and involved in their school or local community.

I'm pretty sure he was local (maybe Lyall Bay) and was just starting out in business at the time.
I'd really like him to make contact re further building work so if anyone may know of him and would be happy to share his details, please do.
Cheers,

Hi, I'm Ashley! 👋

Some of you may have seen me online and around the Wellington region's rivers and lakes! I've been visiting waterways across the region, talking to people about freshwater pests and how they can avoid spreading them. Everyone (from boaties to fishermen and swimmers, as well as campers and hikers) needs to be aware of freshwater pests, because they are easily spread and cause many problems.

I'm going to be popping by a bunch of upcoming Greater Wellington Get Outdoors events this Summer, with my arms filled with the Check Clean Dry packs in between visiting the waterways, so if you see me come say hi and feel free to ask me any questions!

Check out the work that myself and some of my team get up to at www.gw.govt.nz...
