Would they like to study the International Baccalaureate with change-making youth from around the world, at an international boarding school in one of 18 locations across the world?

Applications are now open for UWC Aotearoa New Zealand 2024 scholarships and places.

Full and part scholarships are available (needs-assessed), as well as unfunded places.

Applicants must be New Zealand citizens ordinarily resident in New Zealand, who will be aged 16 or 17 on 1 August 2023, completing NCEA Level 1 or higher (or equivalent) by the end of 2023.

Applicants should be academically strong, emotionally resilient, physically active, and involved in their school or local community.

Police have advised that there is protest action this morning at Mt Victoria Tunnel and motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible.

The protest action is on the Hataitai side (Ruahine Street) of the Mount Victoria Tunnel and began this morning around 8am. Protesters have been seen dangling above the tunnel entrance.

Police have shared that the safety of the public is their top priority and these tunnel lanes will be monitored. Where possible, use alternative route for travel at this time.

***UPDATE: 9.45am: Mt Victoria Tunnel lanes, east and west-bound, are currently CLOSED. Motorists are asked to avoid SH1 from the airport and eastern suburbs into the city via the Mt Victoria Tunnel and instead use Evans Bay or Newtown when travelling city-bound. ***
