Wellington Water

Tracey from Kilbirnie

Just read a article on Stuff about the potential water restrictions in Wellington. For God sake when will the Wellington City Council do what they were elected to do. Do we need new cycle ways - no, new road kerbing - no, no and no to the waste of tax payers money on things that don't need doing. I am so sick and tired of paying rates for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The WCC need to get their act together. I know, people, this had been discussed before but REALLY seriously they need to get a grip and do something. Maybe people should stop paying their rates. Can you image. Their incompetence needs to stop

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
