With Eminem at Westpac Stadium, The Hollies and John Prine performing, and the hugely popular Newtown Festival happening over the weekend, an estimated 23,000 visitors will be in the coolest little capital in the world!

There will be added congestion on the streets and footpaths, and as safety is paramount, areas in the Courtenay Place precinct will be closed to traffic from 8pm on Saturday 2 March until 4.30am on Sunday 3 March.

Our Main Club Trial for Grades 9-14 is happening this Saturday (23rd February), at Wakefield Park.
 
Details for each session is below.  Full trials details can be found on our website www.wellingtonunited.org.nz....
 
We encourage all players to trial.
 
Also, a reminder that players must be registered before trials.

Please ensure you turn up during the Registration time for your grade. This will help ensure the day moves smoothly.

Boot Exchange

We will also be running our popular boot exchange on Saturday.  We’ll be set up from 12pm, and have a good assortment of pre-loved boots in all sizes.
 
$5 per pair if exchanging, $10 if just buying - all proceeds go to the WUJFC scholarship programme.
 
If you wish to donate some boots prior to this, you can drop them off at the front door of 12 Baden Road, Hataitai.

We're starting work on the initial stages of a playground upgrade on the waterfront this Friday 1 March. Several test holes will be dug around the existing playground to confirm the ground conditions - this will help us to finalise the playground design.

Work will be starting at 7am and is expected to finish by 5pm. Digging will be staged over the day with parts of the playground being closed at different times. Work areas will be securely separated from public spaces, including allowance for safety zones and monitoring work areas at all times.
