Wet weather incoming - check your drains!
We're expecting some not so great weather over the next few days, so now is a good time to check and clear your gutters and drains, as blockages here can cause major issues.

First up - The amazing Dee Paranihi!
As a loved employee of the Graeme Dingle Foundation, Dee couldn’t pass up the amazing opportunity to explore Vietnam and help kids across Aotearoa at the same time. "We can all learn to believe what we have inside is greater than the things that stand in front of us, but we need to teach our kids this, we are not necessarily born thinking that way."
To find out more about Dee and how you can support her in this worthy cause visit dinglefoundation.org.nz...

They are still laying, we get over a dozen a week although may slow down a bit over the darker months ahead.
The only reason they need a new home is because they've got a bit naughty and lay in the bush. Fine if there's only one bush, but we have several acres of it for them to roam in and we have to lock them up if we want the eggs, which isn't fair on them.
So if you want some lovely girls to share your garden with, with the added benefit of delicious free range eggs, let me know.
Asking $30 for all 4, but home is more important.

The Hopper Hub Clothing Swap is run by volunteers. I've been to the previous Swaps held at the Hub and along with most women and men there, I've come away with some cool clothes. Plus it was fun to see some of my stuff go to a good home!
You can see on the poster there is an interesting guest speaker from The Formary, and a yummy homemade afternoon tea on offer. There is also at least one mending and alteration workshop planned to run alongside the Swap. From prior swaps I can tell you there will be interesting new people to meet and chat with. Something for everyone!

Free to a good home. It’s rusty but still such a cute bike, thought someone might want it. First come first serve. Pick up only.
