She will lose all her beautiful hair, and I've taken up my needles to knit her some hats. And knitting is a great thing to do in a hospital. There are even beautiful people out there that knit hats and donate them to the ward!
Neighbours, I need wool of the 8 ply variety, it doesn't have to be pure wool, but it needs to be soft to support with love people going through treatment. I'd like to keep my shaking, scared hands busy knitting hats to donate to Wellington Cancer Ward, but I only have two balls of wool.
Now, I am woefully, criminally and sadly underemployed, despite undertaking tertiary study as an adult, and being quite smart. And that means I'm broke in a hand-to-mouth, this really sucks! sort of way.
I'm happy to pick up anything kindly donated. A hat takes about 1-1/2 skeins of 50 gm balls. I'm a novice knitter, but I'm taking up the needles for a cause, and I hope some of you can help me with donated balls of wool.
Thanks very much neighbours

Hearty gameday choices include blue cheese dip, fried camembert with paprika and parsley, halloumi chips with dukkah, chicken, spring onion and vintage cheddar pizza and smoked cheese and chilli nachos.
So stop off at the chiller section of the supermarket to stock up on quality Mainland cheeses to help craft and create some delicious snacks. Then no matter how your team plays, your friends will go home happy.

It is a native of the Mediterranean. its Botanical name is( Pellitory) or Asthma weed, and as the name suggest it is not a good thing to have around anyone who suffers from Asthma, it is spreading like wild fire in the Houghton bay area, the other thing about it is you cannot pick it with your bare hands as it will give you a rash not good for anyone suffering from Eczema.the other problem with this weed is it is a low spreading weed and as you can see is is suffocating the Natural New Zealand Flora. One Plant produces thousands of seeds. so it spreads very quickly.I have Emailed the Wellington and regional councils over this Noxious weed many years ago also informed Bio security. but nothing seems to happen about trying to get rid of this pest.I have been fighting a battle to keep it out of my garden but the problem is the other neighbours don't seem to care.this video was taken on the track that goes up the side of the pines. In Australia especially Sydney. if you have this weed on your property, you will need to get rid of it by pulling it out and bagging it in plastic bags and taken to the tip failure to do so can land you with a fine of up to $10,000.00 we need for this Wellington council to get off its Backside and implement a strategy. to rid us of this weed starting with the walking tracks and maybe getting home owners to do there part before its to late and kills off our wonderful Fauna & flora. Also Old mans Beard Cape Ivy and Wandering Dew or willy is also very rife on the walking tracks. so come on Wellington city council Stop spending money on your Pet Ivory towers and sort this problem out before its to late. Please everyone share this and complain to the council the more voices might get some action from them.It would be interesting to see what the Asthma Society think of it.So lets shame this council into doing something Proactive.
