Decks decks Ashton building
Decks and structures need maintenance. Just because it stood up to the Christmas crowd is no guarantee it is safe. Nails and fixings can corrode away to the size of toothpicks , timber can rot over time leaving just luck to hold up the structure. Sometimes it can be bolts and fixings that need replacing or something more complicated. Some time ago I was contacted by a Ngaio family , the grandfather had been walking on his deck , as he had for decades , he fell thru a rotten section. Luckily wasn't hurt . How is your deck 🤔 . Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
