Petition to extend Khandallah Pool opening time
A petition by John McGrath requesting that the Khandallah Summer Pool remains open until the end of the Easter Holidays, every year, has been received by council. It was signed by 432 residents.
Council officers noted that the pool, which closes at the end of February, gets peak use in January and that it would cost up to $41,000 a year to keep it open for a longer period.
Council officers did not support the petition. Do you think the pool should stay open longer?

Stamps wanted
I run a Stamp club at Tawa School to encourage children to collect stamps and learn about countries, history and more. Unfortunately new stamps aren't often seen these days as it's all electronic! If you have any stamps or old collections sitting around, let me know and I'll come and get them.
