WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO JOIN OUR SPCA NATIONAL RESCUE UNIT!
Our SPCA National Rescue Unit (NRU) is a group of dedicated volunteers that provides specialised animal rescue.
Whether it is saving a calf stuck in a river, a kitten from a five-metre shaft below a carport, helping animals during the Nelson fires, or rescuing a one-tonne bull stuck in a gulley, the SPCA NRU work in a wide variety of rescue situations.
And they are now looking for more volunteers to join the team!
Joining our SPCA NRU can be hard work! Applicants will need to be over 18 years old, commit to over 400 hours per year across trainings and emergency responses, have a basic level of animal handling experience and knowledge, and have a good level of fitness.
