Would you like to sing in a local choir?
Come and Sing With Us
The Northern Chorale is looking to grow and we are keen to recruit new members
If you've always wanted to sing in a choir, but never got around to it, we'd love to have you give us a try out for a few weeks to see whether you'd enjoy singing with us.
You don’t have to have ‘a good voice’ to join a choir and you don't need to be "musical". Everyone can sing. It doesn’t matter if you don't have a formal musical background though some knowledge or experience helps. And we’d be particularly delighted if some men were interested in joining our tenors and basses.
Why join a choir?
It’s good for your lungs
It’s good for your mental health
It reduces stress levels and depression
It enhances your brain function – what more could we want?
Why join the Northern Chorale?
Our Musical Director Thomas Nikora is a widely experienced and talented musician
with a range of musical tastes so he challenges us with musical genres from
traditional choral music to Musical Theatre favourites.
Led by Thomas, singing together is an altogether enjoyable experience
There are no auditions.
Annual subs are modest. This coming year they will be $180 payable in two
instalments of $90
Where and when?
Every Monday Evening 7.30 - 9.30 pm
In the Khandallah Presbyterian Church Hall, 33 Ganges Road, Khandallah. (Opposite the New World Supermarket.)
Concerts
We usually do two public concerts a year. Generally on a Sunday afternoon.

Buses can be a relaxing way to get home if you have a seat and enough space. However, it can be off-putting when someone is taking a phone call next to you.
Do you think it's inconsiderate for people to have lengthy phone calls on a bus? Vote in the poll, and add your comments below.
