Burst water main Link Road, Newlands, water outage
UPDATE 3.14pm: ⚠Burst water main Newlands - REPAIRED⚠
Our team has completed the repair and service has been restored.
Please run a cold tap until the air pockets and cloudy water have been cleared (this could take a few minutes). Hot water taps, dishwashers and washing machines should not be used until the air pockets have been removed from the pipes.
Please note speed restrictions will be in place until the sealing work has been completed to the road tomorrow (23/11).

The repair to the water main is quite complex and the estimated time is now 4pm for full service to be restored. We appreciate everyone's patience and apologise for the inconvenience and interruption to your Sunday.
UPDATE 9.15am: ⚠Burst water main Newlands ⚠
A bulk water tanker is available onsite near 24 Link Road, if you wish to bring any bottles or containers to fill up water. The tanker will drive up and down the lower point of Link Road and into Brindle Way to see if anyone needs water. Anyone from 24 Link Road to Kenmore Street will have to come down to meet the tanker as truck will not be able get to these properties due to the construction site.
Buses are being diverted down Glanmire Road.
The team has confirmed the water shutdown to be affecting properties within Link Road and Brindle Way subdivision as per the map below. Service is projected to be restored at 2:00pm if all goes well.
⚠Burst water main 12 Link Road Newlands closes road⚠
A burst 150mm water main at 12 Link Road, Newlands has created a significant hole in the road and the road is now closed to all traffic including buses. Unfortunately this has also affected water supply to 100 houses. We have a bulk water tanker on site to assist affected residents with water supply.
At this stage, the estimated time to repair is approximately six hours.
The affected area is shown on the map below. Update, affected properties within Link Road and Brindle Way are shown in the second map with 'blue' lines as per below.
