Future of Johnsonville Mall still uncertain
What would you like to see happen with the Johnsonville Mall?
The owners of Johnsonville’s ailing shopping centre insist a long-awaited redevelopment is still on the cards, with details of a mixed-use facility to be revealed “when the time is right”.
Stride Property, which owns the shopping centre land says it had been “actively progressing” a proposed mixed-use development on the site, which takes in the large area between Johnsonville Rd, Moorefield Rd and Broderick Rd.
It is unclear what that proposal entails, but Ōhāriu MP Greg O’Connor said recent discussions with Stride indicated it was considering office or residential space along with retail space.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
