KOKOMAI - Wairarapa's Creative Festival is on 10-19 Oct CHECK IT OUT
Every two years KOKOMAI is held next door to you! Kokomai is an inspiring, edgy and diverse Creative Festival for the Wairarapa region: music, theatre, dance, visual arts, film and literature. Events are located across the region, from rural halls, churches and larger venues such as the Carterton Events Centre.
Festival highlights this year include Wonder Wombs, a gutsy seven-strong cast, featuring some of Aotearoa’s favourite performers from the circus, theatre, and dance worlds and Scottish folk band Shooglenifty. ‘Readers & Writers’ literary Festival as part of Kokomai 2019. will hosting a wonderful line up of authors this year, from Mike Chunn (former Split Enz member), to Marilyn Waring, and accomplished novelist Paula Morris. How much does it cost to join AEA?
There are no dues or fees for joining AEA or attending AEA meetings. We are self-supporting through our own voluntary contributions. At some point during each meeting we pass the basket to help cover expenses, such as the cost of rent and literature. Members are not obliged to contribute, but we usually do so to the extent we are able.
