If you would like to sew, we’d love to hear from you. We are so grateful to all our fantastic sewing volunteers – here are some of their stories…
“We made sewing the bags a school holiday project. We loved re-using old fabric. It was fun and felt good to be doing something for a good purpose.” Emily, aged 9.
“I was inspired to join the Boomerang culture by some beautiful cloth bags I saw in a remote village in Northern India. I get huge satisfaction from upcycling fabrics.” Sue.
“I’ve learnt to sew through making Boomerang Bags! I also love the idea that the bags are made from rescued fabric.” Giulia.
“I like using the skills I’ve got to help. It’s really important to look after our planet. As Gandhi said – ‘Be what you want the world to be’. Nicky.
“It’s about doing my bit to help reduce plastic that’s damaging our environment. I love that they’re made from recycled fabric that would otherwise end up in landfill.’ Pip.
Thank you to all our sewing volunteers, Aro Boomerang Bags for kindly giving us pre-cut fabric and to the Four Square for hosting the basket.
If you would like to sew some Boomerang Bags, we’d love to hear from you. We supply the pre-cut fabric. Contact Giulia on giuliaperi8@gmail.com

Hi Neighbourly,
We really need at least one chest of drawers to contain our things from a gorgeous but naughty little puppy.
Ideally we wouldn't want to pay too much as the wee guy is just starting to get his chew on and we wouldn't want anything too valuable to be chewed.
